Accepted Recycle Materials are:

Co-mingled, clear and colored glass, tin, aluminum and plastic.
Newspapers and cardboard must be in bundles tied on four sides with appropriate cord. Note that pizza boxes contaminated with oil or food waste are not recyclable and should be disposed of in refuse.
Shredded paper can be bagged in plastic and placed with the refuse pickup or
packed in a paper bag, stapled closed, and placed with the paper recycle pickup.
Brown paper bags must be clean and free of any grease or dirt.
Contaminated bags are considered refuse.

 

Recycling material can also be dropped off at
The Vernon Township Recycle Center located on Church Street
Tuesday 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Wednesday 2 p.m.-4 p.m.,
Thursday and Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Closed Friday and Sunday.

Materials for shredding accepted on Saturday 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

BULK PICKUP
Watch this Website calendar for dates of the annual bulk pick up within the Barry Lakes community and the annual bulk drop off at the Vernon Township center.
Any large household items or leaves can be taken to the county landfill any time of the year. It is located on Route 94, near the Route 15 intersection; in Lafayette.
