DUES AND GARBAGE CUTOFF

Dues Payment must be received by August 15, 2018.

Payments are considered late September 1, 2018

If your dues are paid by mail, please make sure to change the payment mailing address to: PO Box 995, Highland Lakes, New Jersey 07422

Also, a drop slot is available by the clubhouse front door.

 

Dues not paid prior to the cutoff date of September 19, 2018

will result in an interruption of garbage pickup services.

A family movie from Disney Animation
Admission is free to Barry Lakes members in good standing.
Badges are required or admittance will be refused.
No exceptions and guests are not allowed.
The snack bar will be open but feel free to bring your own snacks.
In case of inclement weather, Movie Night will be moved to inside the clubhouse.
 

 

DAM NO. 2 ASSESSMENT

 

 

As per the Public Meeting held on July 18, 2018, a the Vernon Township Municipal Building regarding the Assessment for Dam No. 2, please be advised that according to N.J.S.A. 58:4 (Safe Dam Act) as requested by Barry Lakes - Lake Community Property Owners Association in 2009, repairs will be subject to Special Assessment Per N.J.S.A. 40:56-1 and 40:49-6. Ordinance #18-18 was passed by Vernon Council on 4/11/18 to comply with this Agreement for Dam No. 2.

 

The following represents the total amount and payment requirement:

 

Total Cost: $469,800.00

 

Breakdown:

Principal: $376,000.00

 

Interest: $ 75,695.50 (amortized, which is the total of the fixed installments)

 

Start Up: $ 18,104.50

 

PAYMENT PER YEAR: $81.00

 

The total Assessment should be $648.00 - $81.00 per year x 8 years (tentatively).

 

The Vernon Township Tax Assessor will make her final presentation to the Vernon Township Council on August 27, with a confirmation of the final costs for the Assessment. August 28 would then be the billing date for the Assessment, with the first payment tentatively due on September 28, 2018.

 

THIS PAYMENT IS IN ADDITION TO THE PAYMENT FOR DAM NO. 1.

 

This payment is not a Vernon Township Tax or Levy. It is a Co-Borrower Agreement to Collect funds.

 

 

BULK COLLECTION

 

WHEN: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17

All refuse must be placed curbside Sunday, September 16

 

STICKER COST: $70.00 PER HOUSEHOLD

Sticker to be placed on the largest item to be picked up.

 

STICKERS CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE OFFICE

BETWEEN AUGUST 20 and SEPTEMBER 12.

Office hours: Monday 9-5, Wednesday and Friday 9-2.

AIR CONDITIONERS, REFRIGERATORS AND DEHUMIDIFIERS MUST HAVE A STICKER DISPLAYED THAT THE FREON HAS BEEN REMOVED BY A PROFESSIONAL OR IT WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. THIS CAN BE DONE BY ANY REFRIGERATOR OR AIR CONDITIONER REPAIRMAN.

This event is for community members in good standing. While guests are welcome, a $5.00 per guest fee is required to obtain a guest badge for the day. Guests must sign up at the office prior to the picnic.

the strengths and weaknesses that your body has.

 

FEES:

$5.00 per class for Seniors (65 Years young and over)
$10.00 per class otherwise

Please bring yoga mats, blankets, blocks if you have supplies.
Chairs will be supplied by the Barry Lakes Clubhouse
Yoga mats, blankets, and blocks will also be available for those
who would like to come out and see what it is all about.

 

 

SENIOR CITIZEN DISCOUNT

 

The LCPOA offers a ten percent senior citizen discount. If you have turned 62, please provide the office with proof of age, a birth certificate, or driver’s license.
The discount will be applied to the current quarter and will not be retroactive.
